According to several BCCI sources, Bumrah will  be included in the starting XI for the second T20I after missing the first T20I. In particular for the death overs, when Indian pacers have struggled in the most recent Asia Cup, it appears that the blues are overly reliant on the experienced pacer.

The players in the lineup feel a significant difference after Bumrah’s inclusion in the XI. Hardik Pandya, who reigned the first T20I with his bat opened up about Bumrah’s significance. Hardik Pandya spoke candidly about the importance of Bumrah.

“We all know exactly what Jasprit Bumrah brings to the side and how important he is for us,” Hardik Pandya said. “There will be concerns here and there (but) we have got to trust our boys. These are the best fifteen people who are there in the country, that’s why they are there in the squad. Jasprit being there makes a big difference, obviously, but… he is coming back after an injury so it’s important to get enough time to come back and not put a lot of pressure on himself.”

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the commander of the bowling unit, has performed inexcusably in the last four crucial T20Is for team India. During the crucial Super 4 match, in which Pakistan outplayed India and won, Kumar conceded 19 runs to Pakistan in the 19th over. India’s hopes of making it to the finals were dashed by Sri Lanka when Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave up 14 runs in the 19th over.

Bhuvneshwar gave up 15 runs in the 17th over and 16 runs in the 19th over in the previous game against Australia.
