Apollo Tyres has officially secured the position of new jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team, ending the board’s recent hunt for a fresh partner. The deal will run until 2027 and is valued at ₹4.5 crore per match, higher than the previous Dream11 agreement which stood at ₹3 crore per home game.
According to people aware of the bidding, JK Tyre and Canva were among the participants, while Birla Optus Paints showed interest but eventually chose not to bid. With Apollo Tyres stepping in, Team India will once again sport a prominent brand on their jerseys after the exit of Dream11 earlier this year.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had been on the lookout for a sponsor following the enactment of the Online Gaming Regulation Bill, which ended Dream11’s association worth ₹358 crore over three years.
For Apollo Tyres, this deal marks a major brand visibility push in one of the world’s most watched sporting markets. The per-match fee of ₹4.5 crore not only reflects the premium that Indian cricket commands but also underlines the competition among top corporates to associate with the Men in Blue.
With the contract now sealed, fans can expect the Apollo Tyres logo to be seen on India’s jerseys starting immediately, continuing through major tournaments and bilateral series until 2027.
