The qualifying rounds wrapped up, revealing the roster of the 20 teams slated to compete in the West Indies and the USA-hosted event. The top eight teams from the T20 World Cup 2022 – England, Pakistan, India, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, and the Netherlands, joined by the host nations, the West Indies and the USA, secured automatic qualification.

Afghanistan and Bangladesh earned their places as the next best-ranked unqualified teams as of November 14, 2022. An additional eight sides—Scotland, Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Oman, Canada, Namibia, and Uganda—earned their spots through stellar performances in regional qualifiers.
