England front-liners James Anderson and Stuart Broad are doubtful for the upcoming second Test match against India which will be played at Lord’s on Thursday. Both the fast bowlers have suspected calf issue and thigh injury respectively as there is a sea of questions looming around their availability against India for the second test in Lords. The veteran new-ball duo, who both featured in last week’s drawn series opener at Trent Bridge, are England’s two most successful Test bowlers of all time with a combined 1,145 wickets from 312 matches and bound to miss the Test Match as it will be a big blow for the England Team.

According to a report by AFP, Broad had faced an issue with his calf muscles during his warm-up session on Tuesday which made him pull out and James Anderson, on the other hand, has suspected a thigh injury as it was later learned the fast-duo did not take the part in the team’s final session which was scheduled for Wednesday.

James Anderson and Stuart Broad was very much a part of the 1st Test Match played in Nottingham against India where the match was decided by a draw, as rain erupted the final day of the 1st Test match. Meanwhile, James Anderson took massive 4 wickets in the first innings to surpass the Indian Legend Anil Kumble for taking the third spot in the All-time wicket-takers in the history of Test Cricket.
