Sophie Devine’s 36-ball hundred now the fastest ever in women’s T20 cricket

New Zealand captain Sophie Devine smashed a 36-ball 100 in a domestic match for Wellington Blaze against the Otago Sparks. Devine broke Deandra Dottin’s record of a century in 38 balls for the West Indies in 2010. The right handed batsman scored 108 in 38 balls, consisting of 9 sixes and 9 fours.

Devine’s team Wellington blaze beat the Sparks by 10 wickets in the Super Smash in Dunedin, whilst chasing a target of 129.
