The new Lucknow Super Giants franchise is not looking for players who can simply make an immediate impact instead will be focused on long-term development and players who can contribute to the franchise for at least 3 to 4 years according to Sanjiv Goenka who is the chairman of RPSG group.
“The franchise will not be compromising on the long term future for the sake of instant short term success and will be looking to build a team that is sustainable in terms of performance,” Sanjiv Goenka said to TNN as reported by TOI.
They will be looking to go out on the field in the first year and compete fiercely but will not compromise on the future of the team. The main aim will be on building a team that includes a mixture of youth as well as experienced players who can at least serve the franchise for three to four years.
The Lucknow Super Giants now have three players in their team which they selected in the draft which are KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, Ravi Bishnoi. The franchise will be looking at players who are versatile and can play in each and every condition and situation given to them.
