RSWS 2020-21: India Legends beat Sri Lanka Legends to become first ever “Road Safety World Series” CAMPIONS

India, asked to bat first, posted 181/4 in 20 overs. Yuvraj Singh (60) and Yusuf Pathan (62*) were the highest scorers for the hosts. Chasing, Sri Lanka got off to a good start owing to Dilshan (21) and Sanath Jayasuriya (43) but they faltered soon after. In the end, they were restricted to 167/7 at the end of 20 overs.

Yuvraj Singh and Yusuf Pathan scored twin fifties as India Legends clinched the Road Safety World Series after beating Sri Lanka by 14 runs in the final at Raipur on Sunday. The match was on till the very last over of the final match. Sri Lanka Legends required 26 of the last 6 deliveries.

The mighty Lankan’s were in no mood to give up at any moment. First ball of the final over and Jayasinghe hits the ball to straight six. Little Master Blaster and Skipper of Indian Legends seemed a bit worried after getting hit for six. But in the later over Munaf Patel showcased his brilliancy by varying the pace of the ball. He managed to deliver a perfect Yorker which gave no chance  to Jayasinghe to hit for the next boundary.
