Rohit Sharma shines with quickest Test fifty as India dominates West Indies

Indian captain Rohit Sharma continued his impressive form, scoring his third consecutive fifty-plus score in the ongoing tour of the West Indies, achieving his quickest Test half-century in just 35 deliveries.

Led by Mohammed Siraj, the Indian bowlers dominated the West Indies, taking six wickets in the first session on Day 4. Rohit’s opening partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal yielded a rapid 98 runs off 71 deliveries, extending India’s first-innings lead of 183 runs.

The stand was the second-highest in terms of run-rates. Earlier, Mohammed Siraj secured his second Test fifer, and debutant Mukesh Kumar took two wickets. West Indies, who resumed at 229/5 in their first innings, faced significant pressure from the Indian bowlers.
