Captain Rohit Sharma and former captain Virat Kohli will reportedly be opening the innings for Indian cricket team in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. Another cricket world cup is on its way as Indian team is all set to entertain fans with their performances in the tournament.
T20 World Cup 2024 is expected to be played in the month of October or November this year in United States of America. A recent reports suggest that Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma and former skipper Virat Kohli will open the innings for India in this world cup.
However the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hasn’t announced the Indian cricket squad for this tournament yet. They are continuing their research of players who can be a best fit for the team. Indian team hasn’t won a single ICC trophy since 2013 Champions Trophy.
According to reports, BCCI trust the experienced batters i.e. Rohit and Virat, and feel that they can really be an asset for the team in this competition. Their guidance and leadership can be helpful for the Indian team to get to the coveted trophy.
