Rishabh Pant to donate match fees for rescue efforts in Uttarakhand Glacier Burst

Rishabh Pant expressed his feeling on social media for the people who have lost their lives in Uttarakhand Glacier Burst. He will also donate his match fees to aid rescue efforts. The 23-years old Indian young wicket-keeper batsman saddened by the disaster of Uttarakhand.

The Glacier Burst disaster of Uttarakhand took almost 7 lives till now and more than 120+ peoples are missing. Pant took Twitter to share his efforts towards this cause and also urge others to help out the Uttarakhand Government.

He wrote: “Deeply pained by the loss of life in Uttarakhand. Would like to donate my match fee for the rescue efforts and would urge more people to help out,” on Twitter.

Rishabh Pant is playing in the ongoing Test between Indian and England in Chennai, he also scored 91 impressive runs to help his team to set some hopes. His knock came at the crucial point of the match and he was hailed by the Twitterati on Sunday.

The Indian Air Force and the Army on Sunday also swung into action as part of a multi-agency rescue operation in the Chamoli district, following the tragedy. One engineering task force of the Army was also deployed in Ringi village in Joshimath and a control room has been set up in the area, they said.

Due to the surge in the water levels of river Ganga, The Uttar Pradesh government also put on high alert the authorities in all districts on the banks of the Ganga and asked them to continuously monitor the water levels in the river.
