RCB (Royal Challengers Banglore) who has not even won a single IPL title yet, is now all set to break banks by bidding on some of the best players on February 12 and 13 at the mega auction in Bengaluru.
This time RCB would not only be focusing to strengthen their middle order but will also try to obtain a strong bowling unit that will be useful for the team in the death overs. Reports suggest that RCB will aggressively bid on West Indies All-rounder, Jason Holder who will help the team in both the bowling and batting departments.
“Ben Stokes is not available, Hardik Pandya and Marcus Stoinis have been taken. Mitchell Marsh, you never know whether he can survive a full IPL season with his injury-prone career, Holder has been phenomenal by looking at his record. RCB will like to go that distance as some others will also pitch in,” said an RCB source as per Cricket Next.
RCB will have a colossal amount of Rs 57 cr in their purse. They have Holder has reserved Rs 12 cr, Rs 8 cr for Ambatai Rayadu, and Rs 7 cr for Riyan Parag. If RCB spends approximately Rs 27 cr on these players, still they would be left with Rs 28 cr.
So far, the three-time finalists have retained former Indian captain, Virat Kohli, Australia’s All-rounder, Glenn Maxwell, and Indian pacer, Mohammed Siraj.
