PSL 2021: Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans set a target of 194 runs at the end of first innings

In the fifth match of the Pakistan Super League 2021, Multan Sultans are up against Peshawar Zalmi at the National Stadium in Karachi. Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and elected to bowl first. Multan Sultans batted brilliantly to set a target of 194 runs for the Peshawar Zalmi.

At the end of 20 overs, Multan Sultan scored 193 runs with a loss of four wickets. With a phenomenal batting display from Multan Sultan’s James Vince who scored 84 runs off 55 balls. His stupendous knock has seen the Multan Sultan breach the highest score of this season’s PSL.

Vince along with Sohaib Maqsood built a strong 82 run partnership and guided the team to a formidable total. Though Sohaib and Vince got out, the damage had already been done.

Peshawar Zalmi’s bowlers were hit left and right with Saqib Mahmood claiming two wickets for 34 runs in his four over spell. On the contrary, captain Wahab Riaz was expensive as he gave out 51 runs in his four overs.

The two teams are set to prove their might as neither of them has points so far as both had lost their opening matches. While Peshawar Zalmi lost to Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans were defeated by Islamabad United.
