Earlier, Multan was off to a brilliant start with their top-order batsman and captain Mohammad Rizwan scoring 45 off 32 balls and the other opener Chris Lynn scoring 32 off 14 balls.

At one point it looked like the team would set a target of above 200 runs, however, they slowed down their pace after their top-order batsmen got out in the second half of their innings and ended up posting a competitive total of 195 for the loss of six wickets.

The target proved to be too easy for the Karachi Kings who are currently on the top of the leader board after this win against the Multan Sultans. On the other hand, Multan Sultans are placed last having won only one of their four games.
