Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formally approached the International Cricket Council (ICC), expressing deep concerns about the “inappropriate conduct” of fans during the intense India-Pakistan clash in Ahmedabad.
The PCB, in an official statement, highlighted the delays in issuing visas to Pakistani journalists and the absence of a clear visa policy for Pakistani fans during the ongoing World Cup 2023.
The statement released by the PCB on Tuesday outlined the board’s formal protest lodged with the ICC. The PCB raised issues regarding the delayed issuance of visas for Pakistani journalists and the lack of a comprehensive visa policy for Pakistani fans attending the tournament.
The board emphasized the importance of streamlined visa processes to ensure equal participation and representation for all cricket enthusiasts.
Furthermore, the PCB’s complaint extended to the “inappropriate conduct” directed at the Pakistan squad during the high-stakes India vs. Pakistan match held on 14th October 2023. The board expressed its concerns over the behavior of certain fans, underlining the need for respectful conduct and sportsmanship within the cricketing community.
