Virat (85) and Rahul (97) helped India win comfortably against Australia despite a poor start. India lost the top three batters for a duck, leaving the team with a horrifying total of 2/3 in the first two overs. Both Kohli and Rahul played brilliantly by rotating the strike without taking much risk at the start. They kept their temperament cool and guided India to a six-wicket victory.

However, Gambhir, who had a dispute with Kohli during the Indian Premier League, has praised the chase master for his brilliant innings. Gambhir also mentioned that the coming generation will learn a lot from Kohli.

“Young cricketers coming through will learn a lot from Virat Kohli,” said Gambhir.

India will now face Afghanistan in their next league match on October 11 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
