Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field first at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharmshala. Afghanistan had a decent start with Gurbaz (47) and Ibrahim Zadan (22) scoring runs in the powerplay.
However, Bangladeshi all-rounders Shakib-ul-Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz crumbled the Afghan batting claiming three wickets each. Shourifu Islam contributed with two wickets, whereas Tanzen & Mustafizur claimed one wicket each.
Afghanistan was bowled out for just 156 runs which was a happy sight for the opposition.
Despite the low score, Afghan managed to take two quick wickets putting some pressure on the dominating team. But Mehidy Hasan Miraz (57) and Hussain Shanto (59*) took the game away from Afghanistan guiding Bangladesh to a comfortable victory.
