New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern congratulates the Kiwis for the WTC title: “This victory is well-deserved”

The Blackcaps defeated India by eight wickets in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton and claimed their first ICC trophy. Many praises and congratulatory messages are showering the New Zealand cricket team as they became the first ICC World Test Champions. Kiwis and the Indian team were both neck-to-neck in the major part of the mega clash. As the Blackcaps played better on the final day and subsequently crossed the line.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was also amazed at her countrymen’s magnificent show. She said that the cricket team has made the nation proud. She also lauded Kane Williamson’s team for the brand of cricket they played. The Prime Minister stated, “The Blackcaps have made New Zealand proud. This was a masterful performance from a team at the top of their game and on top of the world. Kane Williamson and the team leaders have built a brilliant and humble squad who has become an inspiration to many New Zealanders.”
