According to PTI, the Indian opener has moved just a place up to 23 on the tally, while Bumrah has jumped 10 places to land on the joint 24th rank.

While Buttler who scored the first century of this tournament on Monday climbed 8 spots to reach his career-best 9th position. His opening partner too has moved up 5 spots to the 14th position.

Meanwhile, we have a new number 1 ranked bowler in the form of Wanindu Hasarango, he replaced South Africa’s Tabraiz Shamshi after 2 three-wicket hauls against South Africa and England. There are two more wrist spinners in the top 5, in the form of Adil Rashid of England. He climbed up to the 3rd rank by overtaking Rashid Khan of Afghanistan.

In the allrounder’s tally, the Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi has caught up with Bangladeshi allrounder Shakib AL Hasan.
