In preparation for the T20 World Cup, England has expanded its coaching team. Michael Hussey and David Saker will now work alongside primary Matthew Motts. The two Australians have been added to the team as “Coaching Consultants,” which already includes Richard Dawson and Carl Hopkinson as Assistant Coaches.

“Saker, England Men’s bowling coach from 2010 to 2015, will join the tourists in Pakistan for the seven-match tour preceding the World Cup,” said a statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

Saker has also held coaching positions with Sri Lanka, the Australian men’s national team, and the Melbourne Renegades of the Big Bash League. Hussey, who has previous coaching experience with the Indian Premier League’s Chennai Super Kings, will only be a member of the team for the World Cup. He has previously advised Australia and South Africa on their batting strategies.
