Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar wishes luck to Tokyo Olympics 2020 athletes

The God of Cricket – Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday urged the fans to support the athletes in Tokyo Olympic 2020. The mega event is scheduled from July 23 to August 7. It was going to be held last year, but due to the COVID-19 spread it had to be postponed. Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar posted a video on Twitter by saying, “During the pandemic, all of us have faced challenges including our athletes. They did not lose their hope, they kept preparing to the best of their ability and I know they are geared up to show the best performance.”

He added, “All our athletes have worked really hard, right now, they need our support and good wishes. Let’s cheer for India.” Sachin Tendulkar captioned the video, “We all get goosebumps when we see the tricolour being represented! This Olympics, it shall be no different and we’ll all be cheering loudly from India as you make us proud.” The caption was a message to the Indian-bound athletes.

Like this morning, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Narinder Batra had announced that the Indian boxer Mary Kom and Hockey player Manpreet Singh will be the flag bearers for the Indian contingent in the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 on August 8. 56% of men and 44% of women athletes will represent India in Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The event begins in less than 3 weeks.
