Major deal signed for India-Australia series

Sony Picture Networks India and Facebook have signed a deal for the fans to get access to the match in case they missed it. According to their press release the companies have made a deal to feature match highlights, all the top moments in the game to be added to the Facebook watch section. The idea is to give access to the fans who might have missed the match, will get to see, share and talk about it with their friends online. These videos will be posted on Sony Picture Networks India.

This feature is called video on demand which gives access to people to watch these videos on Facebook Watch. It began from 27th November when the first ODI between India and Australia was being played. The deal is for 3 ODI’s, 3 T20I’s and 4 tests which will be played between India and Australia in 2020-21.

The Director and Head of Partnerships at Facebook, Manish Chopra in a press release said that the Facebook has always been trying to get more for sports fans. This deal with Sony Picture Networks India will make sure that the cricket fans get the best quality of action and top moments from this wonderful tour on their devices for free.

The Head of Growth and Monetization, Digital Business at Sony Pictures Networks India, Manish Aggarwal in his statement said that the company was delighted to partner with Facebook as their social media partner to get the best moments and the highlights of the match to the viewer on their platform. This a big tour and important as well. Surely this will get fans more closer to the game he added in his statement.
