ICC has released the Men’s T20I Player Rankings ahead of the T20I World Cup 2021 which is to be held in October-November in UAE. Not many Indians are present in the ICC T20I rankings table. But the Indian captain Virat Kohli still manages to occupy his place in the top 5 spots. Virat Kohli has risen to the fourth position in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings of 2021. The 32-year old is just behind the Australian opener as well as the captain of the T20I format Aaron Finch who is in the third position in the list.
Indian opening batsman named KL Rahul is also one of the players present in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings 2021. The Punjab Kings captain has retained his spot from the previous season’s rankings. He is still in the sixth position leaving behind Pakistani batsman Mohammad Rizwan and South-African wicket-keeper batsman named Quinton de Kock in the 7th and 8th position respectively. With 771 rating points, Kohli stands on fourth, and with 699 rating points, Rahul is in sixth. Except for these two, there were no other Indians who were in the top 10 Rankings. The 34-year-old English cricketer Dawid Malan is in the first and Pakistan’s spectacular batsman Babar Azam is in the second position T20I Batting Rankings.
