Usman Khawaja, the Australian opener for the first test of Ashes 2023 played an exceptional knock of 141 runs in 321 balls. The knock consisted of 14 fours and 3 sixes and came to an end by England bowler Ollie Robinson on the third day of the test.

His innings came to an end by a pinpoint yorker by Robinson which the batter misses and the ball was right on the target. The opener came to bat on the second day of the test and left the field on the third day with a great knock.

This was the 15th test century of the Australian opener but the maiden century that he made on England soil. The Australian opener celebrated his maiden test century in England with a loud roar followed by a leap in the air while throwing his bat into the sky. The exceptional knock saved the Australian team as they were left with just 21 runs before the opener got out. All the teammates and staff applauded the knock of the Australian opener.
