Dilip Vengsarkar, the former Indian captain and ex-chief selector slams BCCI management for the poor performance of the Indian cricket team. The former cricketer who was part of the 1982 world cup winning squad was disappointed after the loss of the Indian cricket team in the WTC Final, saying that “There is no vision and cricketing knowledge in Indian team selectors”.
The former cricketer also stated that “The management is yet to find a successor for Rohit Sharma and slams BCCI for lack of vision”. The former cited the example of the board selecting Shikhar Dhawan as the captain in 2021 for the Sri-Lanka series and slams the management saying that they could have appointed a future captain and trained him.
He added saying that the BCCI claims to be the richest cricket board in the world but where is the bench strength? No bench strength means no vision. Just earning crores of money through the IPL media rights is not the only achievement.
