Indian pacer Shardul Thakur was having hilarious banter with the Lucknow franchise captain Kl Rahul over his team’s budget before the IPL mega auction 2022. And his India teammate Yuzvendra Chahal came up with a brilliant reply to Thakur’s question.

In the video which is making rounds on social media, Shardul is heard asking Kl Rahul, “How much budget is allocated for him?” to that Kl replies that the teams would only offer him his base price. Chahal in the background is heard saying, “You don’t have a budget for God,” referring to Thakur who is called by the name Lord by his teammates and his fans.

Lucknow is one of the two teams who will be joining the IPL for season number 15 with the other team from Ahemdabad. The Lucknow Super Giants which is owned by Sanjiv Goenka’s RPSG group had earlier announced the 3 draft player signings which consisted of Kl Rahul for 17 crore who is the captain of the franchise, the Aussie all-rounder Marcus Stoinis for 9.2 crores, and the leggy Ravi Bishnoi for 4 crores earlier this month.

Shardul Thakur was part of the previous team owned by the RPSG group in 2017 which was known as Rising Pune Super Giants after his two-year spell at Punjab Kings eventually joining Chennai Super Kings in 2018, where he won the IPL title in the previous season with the boys in yellow.

Shardul is available in the IPL mega auction after being released by Chennai Super Kings and will be in great demand for the all-around performance he has displayed for the men in blues and his previous IPL franchises too.
