The drama unfolded at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on March 24, in the fourth match of IPL 2025. Chasing a daunting 210, Delhi Capitals were reduced to 66/5 when Ashutosh walked in. The 26-year-old turned the game on its head with a counter-attacking 66* off 31 balls, featuring clean hitting under pressure.
As the match reached its climax, DC needed six runs off the final over. The twist? No.11 Mohit Sharma was on strike. On the first ball, Shahbaz Ahmed beat Mohit with a sharp turner that missed the stumps and the bat — prompting a DRS review. The tension grew, but ball-tracking showed the delivery missing off-stump.
