The Indian Premier League is all set to begin on the 19th of September and will be played in UAE after moving out of India. All the teams are training hard and are eyeing the most wanted cricketing league championship. RCB has had difficult seasons and has not won the championship even once and has ended at the bottom of the table for the last two seasons.

In the Bold Diaries series of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, AB de Villiers spoke about how he feels the team is looking for this year. After Virat Kohli called this year’s squad the most balanced side since 2016, AB had something different to say. “It’s a tricky one because we say that every season ‘aah, this year is our team’. I promise you this year it’s different. That’s all I can tell you. I won’t say we have got the best team but there is a fresh feel in the team that I can’t explain. It’s very exciting,”

AB de Villiers believes the side has a very good work ethic and things are exciting in the camp. He credits the skipper for the most of it.”We have a really good work ethic. I won’t say it was different in the past but everyone has really bought into this hard-working environment. And a lot of credit for that goes to Virat for that, he leads by example, he sets the standards. It’s pretty easy to follow when you have someone leading from the front.”

He thanked the support staff who have helped the team with practice and getting back on the field with confidence after such a long haul from the game. Mike Hesson and Katcich have had a good impact on the side’s confidence he added.
