The KXIP vs Royal Challengers Bangalore was a very exciting match. Skipper KL Rahul was the highlight of the game as he scored an unbeaten 132 runs in just 69 balls. He also banished many records including the fastest Indian to score 2000 IPL runs. He registered the highest score by an Indian in the IPL as well.
Virat Kohli for the same match was fined Rs 12 lakh for maintaining a slow over-rate. Kohli won the toss and opted to bowl first and the first innings took extra 51 minutes beyond the expected time to end. In the same match, the skipper had a bad day as he dropped two catches which could have dismissed KL Rahul, who went on to post a huge total for his side. Virat also got dismissed for just 1 run as his side lost by 97 runs.
Kings XI Punjab had lost their first match against Delhi Capitals in the super over whereas RCB had won their opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
