The IPL 2023 auction was conducted on 23rd December, Friday in Kochi. Ahead of the 16th season of the IPL, the franchises was at the auctions to complete their set of players. The auction 2023 created history as there were deals that shocked the fans.

Top 10 expensive buys at the IPL 2023 auction:

1. Sam Curran: PBKS bought the English all-rounder for INR 18.50 Crore, making him the highest paid player in the IPL history. Sam Curran will be playing for Punjab Kings in the IPL 2023.

2. Cameroon Green: The Australian batter was purchased by none other than the five-time champions Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 auctions for a massive amount of INR 17.50 Crore.

3. Ben Stokes: Chennai Super Kings sealed Ben Stokes for INR 16.25 Crore and he became the second highest paid English cricketer in IPL history after Sam Curran.

4. Nicholas Pooran: The West Indies’ batter was purchased by Lucknow Super Giants for INR 16 crore and registers him in the top 5 list of most expensive buys of all time (IPL).

5. Harry Brook: The English batter was purchased for INR 13.25 Crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad. This will be Englishman’s first-ever IPL season.

6.  Mayank Agarwal: The former Punjab Kings’ captain was purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 8.25 Crore in the IPL 2023 auction. Sunrisers can also think of making Mayank as their new captain.

7. Shivam Mavi: Shivam Mavi was sold for INR 6 Crore to Gujarat Titans. Titans won the bidding war and got their pacer. The former KKR pacer will play for defending champions in the IPL 2023.

8. Jason Holder: The West Indies’ all-rounder will play for Rajasthan Royals in the coming season of IPL. He got sold for INR 5.75 Crore.

9. Mukesh Kumar: Mukesh Kumar is the Indian Uncapped player and was sold for INR 5.5 Crore. Delhi Capitals won the race to sign the player.

10. Heinrich Klaasen: The former Rajasthan Royals’ batter will be playing for SRH in the coming season. SRH bought the South African wicket-keeper batter for INR 5.25 Crore.
