TATA IPL 2022: “Vadapav looks good. I’ve never tried it,” Pat Cummins delighted to taste Mumbai’s local dish

Pat Cummins got off to a great start in the competition, scoring the joint-fastest half-century in tournament history.

The two franchises’ players are in Mumbai for preparation ahead of the 53rd match of the IPL 2022 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Super Giants at MCA Stadium in Mumbai. Pat Cummins of the KKR took to Twitter to ask his followers for suggestions on what to eat in Mumbai. “To my followers in Mumbai, what local dish should I try for dinner whilst I’m here??” Cummins tweeted.

Cummins relied on a few responses from his followers for Vadapav and Pav Bhaji, noting, “Vadapav looks good, I’ve never tried it” and “A lot of people saying Pav Bhaji… is it spicy? I’m not great with anything more than mild”.

Pat Cummins got off to a great start in the competition, scoring the joint-fastest half-century in tournament history. He has, however, visibly struggled at his principal occupation, bowling. Cummins has only four wickets in four games, with an economy rate of 12.00.

From IPL seasons 2014 to 22*, the Australian bowler has scored 295 runs in 18 innings (26 matches) for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), with an average and strike-rate of 26.81 and 157.75, respectively.
