Sunrisers Hyderabad will be starting their campaign with a battle against Rajasthan Royals at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on Tuesday, 29 March. This will be the first game of IPL 2022 that will not be played in Mumbai. Kane Williamson will be leading the team and there will also be some new names on the team sheet. After the Australian opening batter, David Warner wasn’t retained by the team, it will be interesting to see who will open the innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Two Indian star spin bowlers, R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal were purchased by the franchise this year and it will be interesting to see whether both the bowlers play in the same playing XI. New Zealand’s pacer Trent Boult can also be seen playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday as he wasn’t retained by Mumbai Indians before this season’s mega auction.
