Shimron Hetmyer of the Rajasthan Royals, a left-handed batsman, has hit the most runs (158) in the IPL 2022’s death overs so far.

Hetmyer is in 20th position in the orange cap standings with a 58.25 average after 233 runs.

Shimron Hetmyer has the second-best strike rate (195.75) and boundary shot with 27.36% in the league’s death overs since 2020 among batters who have faced at least 150 balls. This demonstrates that he has quickly and flawlessly adjusted to his new responsibilities.

At the outset of his career, Shimron Hetmyer was not thought of as a finisher. In reality, he was considered to be a middle-order batsman with a strong technique for dealing with spinners. It was also appropriate, given how well he had performed in this capacity previously.

He had a strike rate of 129.67 against spinners and 135.83 against pacers up until 2019. His average over spinners (23.6) was much better than his average over pacers (23.37).

Hetmyer has indeed played only 24.39 % dot balls this season, down 4% from the previous two seasons. With each game that passes, he gets better.

This season, his teammates have masked his brilliance on multiple occasions. In almost every game, he has done an excellent job.

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction, Rajasthan Royals spent 8.50 crore for West Indies star batter Shimron Hetmyer.
