Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challenger Bangalore mega encounter being played at Wankhede Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bowl first and invited Rajasthan Royals to bat first. David Willey gave the first blow to Rajasthan and Yahaswi Jaiswal was out in his very first over. Yashasvi Jaiswal could not do much in this match and was dismissed after scoring only 4 runs. Apart from David Willey, Mohammad Siraj also bowled well in the power play and did not give many chances to the Rajasthan batsmen and the Rajasthan Royals could only score 35 runs in the powerplay.
In the first 5 overs of the power play, due to the brilliant bowling of Mohammad Siraj, Akashdeep and David Willey, Rajasthan Royals could only score 30 runs.
