MS Dhoni informed Ravindra Jadeja of a change in captaincy at the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) a few months back, according to Jadeja. Just a day before the commencement of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL), the franchise announced Dhoni’s decision to step down as captain and pass the baton to Jadeja.
For INR 16 crore, Jadeja, the exceptional all-rounder was retained. Prior to the IPL 2018 Player Auction, he became CSK’s third retained player.
