On Friday, Punjab Kings were to face Gujarat Titans at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in the 16th match of the league. Titans won the toss and decided to field first. The decision to field first did come in handy for Gujarat, before the arrival of Pinch-hitter Liam Livingstone.

Liam Livingstone smashed his second consecutive fifty of the tournament in just 21 balls. His innings included four boundaries and four sixes. Livingstone came to bat in at 2 after Jonny Bairstow was sent back to the pavilion by a short-pitched delivery by Lockie Ferguson. Livingstone was seen playing aggressive cricket,  right from the first ball. He smashed two beautiful scoop shots to the newbie Darshan Nalkande.

In the PBKS previous match against CSK, Livingstone played a sensational inning of 60 runs off 32 balls to take Punjab towards the victory. He has currently scored 98 runs in the league in three matches, with a strike rate of 168.96.
