Punjab Kings’ batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa completed 2000 T20I runs in the ongoing IPL match against CSK on Monday, 25th April at Wankhede Stadium.
Sri Lankan batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa was been roped by Punjab Kings in this year’s mega auction back in February. This 15th season of the Indian Premier League is Rajapaksa’s first edition. He hasn’t played in the league before and the batter has shown some good cricket so far. Punjab Kings picked him for few matches at the start but then dropped him in order to find the momentum in the team.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa was picked up by Punjab Kings against Chennai Super Kings on Monday as the team is not performing that good in this year’s IPL even after roping in some of the good players. The Sri Lankan batter completed 2000 T20 runs but CSK dropped two catches of him in the game which helped him reach this milestone.
