The newbies Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants will face each other in their first IPL match. Brothers Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya have been inseparable since 2016 will now be seen on the opposite side for the first time in IPL.
Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are led by sensational Indian players KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya, who are known for their friendship; it will be an exciting contest to see them both go against each other. Both the teams are star-studded, and fans would be excited about this fantastic contest.
Lucknow Super Giants will not come up with the best playing XI in their first IPL outing. Big names like Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, and Kyle Mayers will only be available after the first week of the league due to their prior national commitments. Also, Tall English fast bowler Mark Wood was ruled out from the tournament with an elbow injury. Andrew Tye has been named as Wood’s replacement.
The biggest strength for LSG in this game and the entire season would be the open pair of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock. Both the batsmen are in-form and had an impressive run in the past few IPL seasons. Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Avesh Khan, and Ravi Bishnoi are some talented Indian cricketers who made their name through IPL. They would be heavily relied on in the absence of Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, and Kyle Mayers.
For Gujarat Titans, Matthew Wade might be seen opening with Shubman Gill after Jason Roy’s withdrawal. Gujrat has one of the most fierce bowling attacks in the league; their bowling attack includes names like Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, and Mohammed Shami. Rahul Tewatia and R Sai Kishori can also be helpful bowling options. All eyes will be on Hardik Pandya today as he hasn’t played since last November, and fans would be looking forward to some massive sixes from him.
