Gujarat Titans’ skipper Hardik Pandya is now the leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League 2022 after his wonderful innings against Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, 14th April at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
Losing the toss, Gujarat Titans were invited to bat first by the Sanju Samson’s men and the skipper did a great job after the team lost some early wickets in the game. Hardik Pandya didn’t let Rajasthan Royals dominate the game even after taking three quick wickets on Thursday. It was one of Hardik’s best innings as he came to bat in a pressure situation when team was in a very difficult position. Hardik Pandya also became the only captain in the league this year to score back to back fifties. Pandya did score a fifty in his last game which was against Sunrisers Hyderabad though they couldn’t win that game. Hardik is just behind Jos Buttler who is going to come at the crease in the second innings for Rajasthan Royals.
Hardik Pandya’s captain’s innings provide a great momentum to Gujarat and the all-rounder will look to take their (Gujarat Titans) score something close to 200 against Rajasthan Royals.
