The Gujarat Titans have unveiled their anthem, “Aava De,” in anticipation of their debut in the Tata IPL 2022. The song, composed by Dub Sharma and sang by Gujarati folk singer Aditya Gadhvi, blends Gujarati culture with the team’s desire to create a mark in the world’s most prestigious T20 league. The anthem begins with Shri Kavi Narmad’s renowned lines, “Jai Jai Garvi Gujarat.” The words ‘Aava De’ signify a challenge to ‘Bring it on.’

Gujarat Titans make their IPL debut in the 15th season, paying homage to the state’s rich cricketing heritage – one that has produced countless international players who have served India with distinction throughout the years. The team’s foundation is based on the state’s rich tradition.

Gujarat Titans signalled their arrival even before the auction when they selected Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya as their skipper for Rs 15 crore at the draught.

Apart from Pandya, the Titans also selected Rashid Khan, a former Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner, for Rs 15 crore and Shubman Gill, a promising Indian batter, for Rs 7 crore.

The Titans will play their fellow debutants, the Lucknow Super Giants, captained by KL Rahul, in what would be both teams’ first game on the big stage. On Monday, March 28, the two will face off at Mumbai’s legendary Wankhede Stadium.
