Royal Challengers Bangalore’s wicket- keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik seems to have an outstanding season and has emerged as the team’s best finisher. In IPL 2022, he has a strike rate of 209.57 and an average of 210.
He is now ranked 13th in the orange cap holder standings this season, with a total score of 197 and a highest of 66 runs.
Dinesh Karthik, who had unsettling seasons with Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020 and 2021, averaging just 169 and 223 runs respectively, has helped RCB lift a few eyelids with his big-hitting steadiness. Karthik was acquired for Rs 5.5 crore by RCB in the IPL 2022 mega auction after being released by KKR, and he has returned the confidence put in him by the previous finalists.
Karthik has scored 197 runs in six matches, evoking similarities to AB de Villiers, who excelled as a finisher until retiring last year.
