With his latest score of 61 runs off 49 balls in the IPL 2022 season’s 19th match against Kolkata Knight Riders, David Warner of Delhi Capitals holds the record for most 50+ scores in Indian Premier League history with a total of 55, followed by Shikhar Dhawan of Punjab Kings who had scored 47 times 50+ runs.
Australian cricketer, David Warner began his IPL career with the Delhi franchise in 2009, and after 13 years, with a wealth of experience, a large number of runs under his shoulder, and an IPL title with Sunrisers Hyderabad, he has returned to represent the Delhi Capitals, who paid a whopping 6.25 crores for his services in the IPL 2022 auction.
Shikhar Dhawan, the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer, is also 89 runs away from being the IPL’s second-highest run-scorer, following only former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli, who has 6389 runs in 203 innings.
Following Warner and Dhawan in the history of the IPL, Virat Kohli has struck 50+ runs 47 times, AB de Villiers 43 times, and Rohit Sharma 41 times.
