CSK paceman Deepak Chahar was amongst the 13 people with two players who tested positive for COVID-19. In a video tweeted by him, he mentioned that he has recovered. The good news for the camp which has had a rough patch this last week with people testing positive and their ace batsman Suresh Raina returning to India due to “personal reasons”. Just like all the other franchises, CSK is also following the bio-bubble protocols in UAE where the IPL 2020 is being played.
“Hello everyone, thank you so much for your wishes and prayers. I’ve recovered well and hopefully be in action soon. One more thing, never miss your leg day no matter where you are and what condition you are,” a visibly happy Chahar tweeted. Apart from the players and staff who tested positive, the squad will start training from 4th September after quarantining for an extra week. They will undergo another round of testing before being allowed to step out.

All other members are negative,” confirmed CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan. “Deepak and Ruturaj will complete their 14-day quarantine and then join training after two negative tests as per protocol,” he informed. The two players who tested positive will not be available to train until September 12 following the protocols.
