It has been one of those rare IPL seasons where even after 51 matches being played, the Points table has not fixated. Even when three teams have comfortably booked their places in the playoffs there’s still a tight tussle for the qualifier positions. After Chennai Super King’s loss against Delhi Capitals, a rare opportunity has opened up for Royal Challengers Bangalore to make it to the top two.

RCB has performed as a top-notch team in year’s IPL and this is evident by the fact, they have qualified with 2 games at hand. Now the key aim of their campaign is to book a slot in the qualifier position, and the first chance to do that befalls them on Wednesday, as they take on Sunrisers Hyderabad. A win in this match will send cruising past Chennai Super Kings. Although that is not the only thing that Virat Kohli will have on his mind.

Despite all of his key players playing to their potential, recently Kohli has had his handful with the Australian Dan Christian. The 38-year-old has looked out of sorts recently. Once considered as a T20 specialist, with both bat and bowl, now seems to have lost his edge a little. As a result of which, Kohli will have to make a key decision keeping in mind that there won’t be any second chances in the Playoffs. Unless obviously, they make it to qualifier 1, which won’t be easy either. Therefore, right before the playoffs, Kohli will be required to try out someone new in the place of Christian and the young Singaporean player Tim David might be in contention.
David has just played one match in this year’s IPL and was able to showcase his potential. Therefore he can be a key addition to the team. Here’s a look at RCB’s Predicted lineup for today’s match: Kohli(C), Padikkal, Bharat, Maxwell, de Villiers, David, Ahmed, Garton, Patel, Siraj, and Chahal.
While on the other hand, Sunrisers will be looking to show some faith in their youngster, hence the line-up might look something like this: Jason Roy, Wriddhiman Saha, Kane Williamson (C), Priyam Garg, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kaul, and Umran Malik
