Chennai Super Kings (CSK) staged an impressive comeback against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their IPL 2023 match, thanks to some quick wickets that brought the game in their favour. Despite the good knock from RCB batters Glenn Maxwell and Faf du Plessis, CSK managed to change the game in their favour with two quick wickets.

It was Tushar Deshpande who first struck, dismissing Dinesh Karthik caught by Theekshana at cow corner. Karthik had been batting well and his wicket was crucial for RCB’s momentum. Theekshana, who had dropped two catches earlier in the game, finally held onto one, and his celebration was filled with joy and relief.

Soon after, Pathirana picked up a wicket as Shahbaz Ahmed holed out to Gaikwad at long-off. The ball was full outside off and Shahbaz lofted it but didn’t connect well, hitting it off the bottom part of the bat. Gaikwad had dropped one in the previous over, but this time he came in and took it comfortably, bringing a smile on Pathirana’s face and a pat on the back from MS Dhoni.
