The English all-rounder boasts a history of impactful IPL performances. In the 2017 auction, Kolkata Knight Riders acquired him, and Woakes showcased his prowess by claiming 17 wickets in 13 matches, with standout figures of 3/6 highlighting his effectiveness. Moving to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2018, he delivered with eight wickets in five games. Despite being released in 2019, Woakes secured a spot with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 2020 auction, although he opted out of the tournament to stay fresh for England’s Test season.
