Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium of Lucknow hosted tonight’s game of LSG vs SRH but the pitch doesn’t seem to happy the fans and experts.
According to reports, the pitch of Ekana stadium usually benefits the first innings batters and despite the dew factor, the bowlers get a plus point in the second innings because of the pitch’s play after 20 overs.
But tonight the pitch was claimed “poor” by the fans and cricket pundits as the low-scoring match between LSG vs SRH was surely not worth buying tickets for.
The spinners played a huge role in the first innings but the flat surface has always outbeaten batters despite their experience in international cricket.
One of the most well-known and respected cricket expert, Aakash Chopra, concurred that the Lucknow pitch actually performed considerably differently from the pitch reports.
Pitch-reports from the venue aren’t very reliable these days.
