On Thursday, Mahindra Singh Dhoni took three catches behind the wicket to complete his 100 catches for CSK. With this Dhoni became the first player to take 100 catches for a team in franchise cricket. The person in the second position is his deputy, Suresh Raina, with 98 catches.

It all started with the regulation catch of Jason Roy as he tried to make room to cut it through the off side and edged a tame catch. The second one was a little more tricky, as Priyam Garg, trying to pull Dwayne Bravo over Square leg edged it sky-high. M.S Dhoni had to run a considerable distance to catch it. He took the third catch on Jadejaās bowling as the finger spinner dismissed an in-form W. Saha, just when he was starting to look threatening. The CSK bowlers put up a great show to contain the SRH batters. With Josh Hazlewood being the pick of the bowlers, as he picked up 3 wickets in his 4 overs, and only conceded 24 runs.
M.S. Dhoni already holds the record for most dismissals for a wicketkeeper. He has 158 dismissals in 215 matches, 8 more than Dinesh Kartik. Dhoni is also the most capped player in IPL history. Even when Dhoni is not having a great tournament with the bat, his steam is still on top of the Points Table only 2 points away from sealing a spot in the playoffs.
