In the ongoing IPL 2025 clash between Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Rishabh Pant got two early reprieves in the span of one over, both off the bowling of Mohammed Siraj and due to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler’s mistakes.

During the 3rd over, Siraj bowled a short delivery outside leg stump which Pant edged. Buttler managed to get gloves on it but couldn’t hold on, letting the opportunity slip. A ball later, Siraj bowled a slower one which Pant edged again — this time just out of reach of a diving Buttler. Replay confirmed the first chance was indeed a thick edge.

To make matters worse for Gujarat Titans, Siraj conceded five wides in the same over, clearly struggling to find rhythm. He ended up conceding 26 runs in his two overs, putting Titans on the back foot early in the innings.

By the end of 3.4 overs, LSG had already raced to 33/0, with Aiden Markram playing the aggressor on 22 off just 13 balls, and Pant on 6 off 9 deliveries. The two dropped chances could prove decisive in the outcome of the match, especially with Pant known for capitalizing on second chances.
