Kane Richardson pulled out of IPL 2020s he is expecting the birth of his first child. The RCB management on Monday announced that they bought Adam Zampa as a setup replacement for the same. RCB have a strong set of spin bowlers and the addition of Zampa makes it even better.
“We are disappointed to not have Kane’s skills with us this IPL as he’s certainly on top of his game,” said RCB’s head coach Mike Hesson. “However, once we found out Kane and Nyki’s baby was due during the IPL, it’s an exciting time and we were fully supportive of Kane wanting to be at the birth of their first child.
“When looking at our squad for UAE conditions we felt it was an opportunity to bring in another quality legspinner in Adam Zampa to provide cover for Chahal and also give us extra options if conditions suit spin as expected during the tournament.” Added Mike Hesson.
Both the Australian players are in the UK as part of the 21 player squad for the T20’s and ODI’s against England.
Kane Richardson whose base price was 1.5 Cr was ultimately bought by the Challengers for 4 Crores. Adam Zampa has been very successful against the RCB skipper Virat Kohli. His success against Rohit Sharma is also undeniable. He played for Rising Pune Supergiants and picked 19 wickets in the 11 matches he played.
