It was an Ishan Kishan show as the youngster took charge of the innings from the very second ball which he smashed for a massive six. With this shot, he made his intentions very clear, that although the task of qualification is almost next to impossible one, he was still going to give it a try. And that is what he did from there onwards. In the second over, he smashed pacer Siddharth Kaul for 4 consecutive fours. Keeping up the ante, he brought up his team’s as well as his own fifty in the 4th over of the game. The personal accolade came in just 16 balls, making Ishan’s fifty the fastest of the season.
MAXIMUM from Ishan to bring up the fifty for us 😎👌 pic.twitter.com/KLrkw42Enx

Umran Malik the fastest bowler of the season was brought into the attack in the 6th over and he too was dispatched for 15 runs, Ishan alone hit 10 runs in his 3 balls. Rashid Khan took the first wicket of the match to break the partnership between Rohit and Kishan, which had already amounted to 80 runs in just 5.3 overs.
It felt as if there was nothing that Kishan could do wrong today. Despite the loss of his captain, the youngster kept marching on the different drums. It was in the 9th over of the match that he finally nicked one ball to the keeper and Wriddhiman Saha made no mistake in taking the catch.
